Friday, January 12 - lots of formwork going on at King Toronto - a number of construction workers on site. First picture is from a new vantage point, with King Toronto having reached the height that it is visible from our building. The rest of the photos are from street level, working from west to east on King Street, and then from the south or Wellington Street side.

I just feel bad for the Structural EIT that had to detail those slab edges.
Every time there's a vertical discontinuity, it would result in a unique detail. I'd love to see the drawing set for this thing.

The zigzags of the slabs look surprisingy uniform, but I think the staggered glass block vs vision glass walls
will add the variety / variation to the facade.

There is less terracing and step backs on the south side of the building so that side of the building is more uniform and repetitive compared to the other sides of the building. The building is more dynamic when viewed from King Street where the terracing is more varied and starting on lower levels.
