With those offices ( unused south Kipling Station platform) being added on the RT/LRT platform does this construction effectively eliminate any chance of future use construction such as a Gondola service to Sherway Gardens or future LRT technology not invented yet?
Yes and the simple reasons, it's on Hydro One Land, as well dealing with the transmission lines

Nothing says that they can't repurpose some other portion of the property for that kind of purpose - much as they did with the two additional bus bays to the east.

imo this should be extended for sure to about the 427 for sure.

the parking lots can be sold off for a lot of money

What parking lots??

What do you think will get built under the transmission lines considering that land is Hydro One Land??

As for moving everything to 427, full agree, considering TTC had the chance starting back in 2005. The ward councilor who was also VP of TTC Commission made 2 different request to extend the line one stop and was shot down at different time.

I think expanding the bloor line makes sense towards the 427 single stop then it can branch off there with rt to the airport, square one and etc

Brief update on this one - looks like they've started excavation and the beginnings of form work for the pedestrian tunnel linking the subway crescent entrance to the bus terminal. Couple of photos below. Also, not pictured, most of the former north parking lot has been cleared, and the temporary Passenger Pick Up/Drop Off is in place.

had to pick someone up at Kipling last weekend......dropped them back off there about 5 hours later.......they need to do a better job of letting people know that what was once the north parking lot is now a PPUDO zone....there were two cars parked there when we picked up that were still there when we dropped off later.

I've gone back and forth on a 427 extension, but right now have the feeling that there is more gained by maintaining the connection to GO and bringing (L)RT/busway/etc to Kipling than by avoiding shortening the distance to the highway.

There is to be a new GO Station at Cloverdale, with Kipling being removed. Those who may need a bus out of Kipling would have to take the subway one stop. Very few riders getting on/off at Kipling would be using the GO trains from TTC routes.

TTC would have to come up with a new bus route to service Dundas between Cloverdale an Kipling and it could be the 30 or 123 Bus.

One thing TTC needs to do is make the south entrance AODA accessibility for for Kipling. Can't use that lot to get to/from the Regional Hub if the north lot is full.

Wait what? Is this new? Can you link the information please? Couldn't find any information myself.
