What is even happening in this thread anymore?

Looking at the map of MiWay 26, it looks like it already reaches Kipling Station. It would be better to flip the direction of the eastern loop so Mississauga passengers can be dropped off at Kipling and picked up at Islington, but if Islington Station was completely bypassed then there would not be much coverage lost. I imagine in the future the Six Points will become a destination itself.
Route 26 only bypass Kipling going west on Dundas to Auckland and then north on Kipling. 26W was on Detour while The new Bloor/Kipling intersection was being rebuilt. A lot of riders for both Toronto/Mississauga get on/off along Burnhamthrope to get to/from Mississauga.

Route 26 will remain as is until the new Kipling Terminal opens next Sept. What will happen to 26 next year is still not finalizes as well route 1 at this time. There been talk that a route will continue to Islington since a fair number of riders work in the area and not force riders to pay 2 fare. It possible that 26 will use Kipling in both direction only to Kipling.

All other routes going to Kipling next year will use Dundas to/from 427 except route 3 that will use Auckland and Bloor like today, but not to/from Islington.

A number of building foundation under construction west of the stair building. There is also shoring taking place toward the north building for X.

The first section of the new tunnel from the terminal toward TTC subway is now bury that will have buses looping over it. 75% of the new tunnel now has walls and 50% has a roof. The roof overhang of the platform and buses has seen another 30' extension add to the main frame and decking on it. The west curb wall is now 100% pour and waiting for steel to cover the loop as a sound barrier.

This construction site is big. Really big.

This construction site is big. Really big.
The Hub takes up only a small area, as the rest of the site will be a new configuration of the parking lot that was there before. Everything east of the structure will be TTC parking lot. There is a new road at Acorn that will be the main entrance with traffic lights at Dundas and currently in place. The south lights still have to go in and will happen next year once they start the new road and lot layout.

All the existing TTC tunnels were fix and remain where they were. Once the new tunnel from the Hub to TTC tunnel is build, work will take place to replace the existing Kiss & Ride building and move the existing roof back to that old location. The building will have an elevator to the tunnel and the station.

This construction site is big. Really big.
In practical terms, as a resident, it's essentially one more or less contiguous construction site from Pinnacle to Islington, with Pinnacle, KIP 2, Kipling Hub, Dundas/Auckland, Six Points rebuild, then Islington Terrace. It's truly a nightmare as a resident, and terribly unsafe as a pedestrian. There has been ZERO coordination of the disruptions caused by these projects, and for months at a time areas grind to a halt. While, when complete, this may be a proper, urban neighbourhood, in the meantime, it'll be at least a decade of construction.

Saw the site on Sunday and no idea what the shoring is for from the east side of the stair tower to Subway. Shoring is on both side of X that is wide as a driveway for a single car. Could be for Water, sewer and power lines.

Steel going up at the west end connecting to the curve sound barrier wall for the roof over the driveway. More steel been added for the overhang for the buses, with more still to go up. Good part of the complex enclosed.

One more section to be built to connect to TTC tunnel system. Would say 80% of the tunnel from the Hub to TTC fully built and waiting waterproofing before being bury.

Still not sure what being build as buildings by Subway, and it's more than needed to heat, power and snow melt the Hub and GO platform. Have to wait tell more is built.
