Seeing it from this view....I wish Shangri-La was block north. It would extend our skyline more to the north. Seems it will be lining up with Bay/Adelide tower and totally blocking it.

Would you sacrifice its impact on the view corridor down University for the western skyline view?

Someone's going to have a nice clear view of that smokestack. Interesting vantage point- taken from the Exchange tower maybe?

awesome fresh new angle ^^^
one thing i love about shangri-la, is that it has no trouble fitting in, while making a huge mark on the skyline.
and the shape of the tower is kinda cool as well (it's like a cross breed between a box and a circle).

this thing will re-invent the look of the area..

I believe that they're removing that crane.

Its not entirely steam, they are burning natural gas there. As with all hydrocarbons carbon dioxide is a large component of the exhaust. Also a small amount of carbon monoxide is also released when natural gas is burned.

Some news sources have cited that the restaurant(s) will be in the new Shangri-La, while others have said it'll be beside it. If beside, could that mean the restored Bishop's Block?

I believe it will be in the building just North attached to it, not in Bishop's block. It is showing in the plans that there is the specialty restaurant in the building that houses the pool
