I find it very interesting that we have single detached homes right across from Mississauga's Tallest building. Doesn't really give me a "downtown" feeling in this case. Feels very suburban, since they probably aren't going anywhere in the near future.
The shadowing impacts Toronto has seem to not matter here either, but I am happy about the buildings in general just odd.
 
Those houses aren't going anywhere for probably a couple of decades given the land that can be redeveloped around Sq One. But eventually I would expect them to be. I kind of wonder how successful Misssissauga is going to be in creating a urban environment downtown just given how wide the streets are. The space between buildings/podiums feels too large.
 
The industrial blocks to the south of MCC along Burnhamthorpe and Elora/Mavis/Wolfedale/Erin Station will likely be redeveloped long before the houses will.
