I did a bit of digging and as shown in the image below, even in the most recent renders, the slope at the top of the tower was very present:

So did the height get cut down or something? Or is it really just a design change.. the developers haven’t said anything on the matter either, it’s almost like it was silently changed behind the scenes.
Anyways if you ask me it’s a huge downgrade but 🤷‍♂️

Well, there are a few big buildings south and west of it, just nothing comparable in scale.
This will remain a very strange, poorly planned "urban" area due to the subdivisions nearly surrounding the Rogers land here.
Well there’s a whole sea of parking lots that can be filled with towers. This is just the outer edge. It will look strange until the thing is complete. That said in Toronto you get to queen street and all of a sudden there’s semis and SFHs. Where as a few weeks ago i was in san Fran and you would have to walk a long walk out of the financial district to hit anything shorter than a midrise. So based on San Francisco toronto has some strange and poor planning.

Mississauga is reverse engineering something. So it’s always going to look weird until we have a final product. But again confederation is a good start. It’s not hopeless.

I guess I’d rather focus on the positives. There’s absolutely nothing we can do about those SFHs that were made in a different era. I guess one day we could buy them out and rip them down but why would we do that until the parking lots which are existing are already fully built out.

Yeah I think that chunk of Confederation just north of Burhamthrope is decent. The Rogers side of Confederation, not so much.

I think that there is a crown extension above the final concrete floor that will give it the final twisting shape Just looking at the renderings those almost look like faux panels

That would make sense.. but then why is the ventilation unit (or whatever it’s called) already installed? It also dosent explain the huge gap on the back end of the tower lol.. time will tell.
