I think they have to maintain some working distance between the two, otherwise the cranes and other equipment would collide.
Nice to see progress on the north tower though.

the one tower is pretty speedily rising now, should be visible from around downtown by the summer, hopefully!

It might have something to do with the copious amount of water which is still being pumped out of the south end of the site.

Windows

Finally the Fenestration Freaks among us can fulminate over the fair or foul features of the Murano windows. A row of them is up, first floor on the south tower.

They looked awfully, well, ordinary and light brown to me. But I usually decide to duck these discussions anyways.

Brown windows, is that unusual? I've heard of green and blue tints. Is the glass brown or the framing?

^great update there, mike!

facade looks pretty good but then I wasn't expecting a seamless curtainwall

The last 2 pics with the light reflecting on the glass makes it look closer to the rendering. but I see the brownish tint on the other pics. yipes. all in all I think this will still be a very good looking building

I was by there early this morning, they seem to be at the 9th floor on the north tower. What surprised me when I turned the corner is how slim the tower is, especially when looking at it's profile across the street on the west side of Bay.
