Some cities care more than Toronto and they typically have a development process that has complete control over private development down to the type of screw heads used (LOL) plus typically a lot less population growth than Toronto. Everything related to construction and development in Toronto is overpriced and that weighs heavy on developer's decisions including doing something different.

I gotta say, the ground floor is a jumble, but this street has an incredible scale in person. It’s very Manhattan-esque. It will be very exciting when the buildings are finished.

Just wait until the building gets occupied and window coverings are installed, it’s going to look a lot worse (the glass is not tinted dark enough to preserve whatever redeeming architectural integrity it has left).

Some condos mandate white window coverings. Maybe management here can mandate everyone go to Dollorama and pick up a few of these to help them out.
