What's wrong with some oldschool Bloorj Toronto?

Haha that would be pretty spectacular. Why don't we raze the whole block to Church and south to Charles, and put in one of those giant city-towers from Simcity 2000 that housed 250,000 people? That should get some attention on the "world's best corner".

I like the Sapphire and it would be nice if it hit the 400m.
As long as the building is not square and is over 325m, I will be please to see something breaking that glass ceiling for this corner.
As for the oldschool Bloorj, how many blocks do we tear down and the number of streets that will disappear?
Could remove everything west of Yonge to Bay, Bloor to Yorkville for a smaller version. We could go a block east also and build over Yonge St to connect both blocks.
What every goes into that corner, It should not have the run of the mill precast and current wall colors as well the windows we see today.
If I only could put my vision to paper to see how it stacks up to others.
Marcanadian and the adma photo are not bad looking either.

If anything i would like to see Harry Stinsons failed attempt of the 1000 foot pyramid building he had planned for Hamilton at that location.
