Crane is already up, this one is set to rise.

Rendering view from another angle. I like the mid-rise podium, looks like lots of retail space.

It seems like most of Dundas will be retail and that's a good thing. With all those eyes on the street, this place will feel safe. Another good thing is the pedestrian mews, running between this building and the Regent Park Arts Centre. It's supposed to be used for events, culture and a farmer's market during the summer. That should make the mews a lively place and possibly an attraction in itself, especially if the new park across the street is also successful.

:) It's very conservative. c.2005 it would've been acceptable. When I first read about the new Regent Park plan about a decade ago I imagined the architecture would be bold, at least in the league that is River City.

am i the only one who noticed that there are TWO towers in that rendering?

Yeah, that's the first rendering I've seen that showed two towers but I still like the building. The higher the density, the better. I'd like to see those towers go even taller.

Park Place? hmmm, I knew the developers were cutthroats but the monopoly reference is pretty blatant.

Daniels builds a lot of this stuff. A lot of condos around Square One are Daniels built.

Suprised that this one hasn't been photographed yet. Lots to update, and the cladding is clearly coming together to show us what we're going to expect. Have a look:

This cladding is all about the white, with thick, defined mullions. It was cloudy today, so I couldn't tell if the windows are the reflective type. Sure seems like they might be from my vantage point.

The street wall on the south side of Dundas is taking shape.

So far, the only dark spandrel in sight is behind the balconies.

Surely this one's going to contrast quite distinctively against Paintbox.

I actually quite like it. And thank GOD it won't look like every other glass condo going up. I'm all for diversity in the city, and I think this cladding is different from anything we've seen lately.
