Can anyone confirm that Edilcan has purchased the 1 Gibbs Road site? I heard some rumours so am not sure at this point. Overall I heard they will be moving sales office into 1 Gibbs Road building (formerly Queens School?) for final phase 3 Triumph condos. They will start constructing the Thunderbird tower by end of this year after sales office is moved out.

Yes, I can confirm this. Anyone with some new photos? Townhome occupancy is supposed to be Fall 2011?

I have some shots from a week ago and no way anyone will be moving in until the end of 2012.

Will have some new shots from this coming Tuesday visit.

Was by the site today and wooden framing is going up for the townhouses on the south end now.

Looking at the north-west tower, they are on the 3rd floor for above ground parking if I am reading the site correctly, since I have never seen the plans for this building.

Not sure why there is no more than one level of underground parking for any of the buildings being built other than cost and time going down.

I think there is 3 levels of above ground parking structure along Highway 427

I believe there are 64 back-to-back townhomes

yes, what they have been doing so far is still parking lot and main podium.
still have a lot of works to get done.

Exactly: the lower levels of the structure facing 427 are being used for parking. It will screen highway noise from the rest of the site.

What One Valhalla looks like from the 427. I take it that's the parking, as the forming is sloped.

I really don't think the three storeys along the 427 are parking.

It's a podium with units....

At that's what the folks at Edilcan are telling me..... o.o

yes, that's an above ground parking.
the front of the podium (below tower b) has several townhouse units as well.

October 25 Photos as well Oct 14 photos are on line, as I finally up to date on all my shooting.

Based on what I am seeing, that is a ramp being built up to the 3rd floor so far.

If this is a parking structure, it not going to do anything for the noise from the 427. The sound will bounce up over it and hit the buildings to the east of it.

The landscape pavers are been removed from the planter areas and bundle up. Some are being toss into the hole.

I find it odd that the ramp area next to the property edge on the east side goes up and then underground.

Edilcan moves their projects faster than Tridel's that is just across their Valhalla site. Occupancy is slated for tower on April 2012 - but that wont likely to happen, so probably occupancy will be pushed to Summer 2012. Tower two occupancy Fall 2012, and last phase tower occupancy Summer 2013. Sales for last phase will begin after new years most likely.
