After months of no progress, work has started back up on the (south) platform 4 extension for shifting to the east to match the (north) platform 1.
Also, work is progressing on the track 2 realignment with ballasts now laid for the new track location.
And work continues on the pedestrian bridge with roofing over the stairwell for platform 1.
Finally, some concrete was being poured in a recently dug hole at the former 2-20 Atlantic Ave site.

Closer look of shifted platform 4 being built out.

The station will be closed this weekend to allow for track relocation.

About half of the new track 2 has been laid ahead of this weekend's work.

I made an edit of both images with the current track 2 removed to give a sense of the space that is will be left for the new platform that will service track 2 & 3 at the new station.

The station was a hive of activity today on the East and West end of the station as they work to move track 2 next to the new track 1.

First 3 shots are from the East side of the station, followed by the West end as seen from the Dufferin bridge, then finally a couple shots of the area where they demo'd the warehouses and started piling in the tail/storage track area for the OL. I'm wishing I thought to walk to this area before when the demo was taking place, but better late than never! This will hopefully be a vantage point anyone can continue to access as work continues.

With the re-alignment of track 2 complete, a new trench is being built at the foot of Atlantic for hydro to connect to the new station (3 weeks of work).

Photo 1 of the ripped up Atlantic Ave, Photo 2 is from the foot of Jefferson looking in towards where the Liberty New Street will be.

Cladding is coming along on the North Tunnel Headhouse. According to the architectural documents, it will be a permanent structure with Liberty New Street running right next to it. However, it looks as though the current existing tunnel headhouse that leads to and from the north go platform (#1) will be taken out, making the tunnel only useful for people needing to get through to the other side without entering the paid zone (concourse above tracks).

Got a progress update on the Platform 4 shift/extension thanks to the the ped bridge being open today for the TFC game. Looks like a couple weeks to a month's worth of work left based on the rate they've be going.

Also got some close up shots of the north tunnel headhouse.
