From what I recall from the last public meeting, they are digging two mine shafts at the two corners and will be excavating / undermining below the active intersection while building the station structure. All this interesting construction work being done and we won't be able to watch it.

Those two shafts are later housing escalators and elevators, they’ll be pretty large. But yes, eventually a lot of the work will be deep down out of sight, 30+ metres below. Not as exciting as watching cut and cover right below a road deck.

Tuesday, March 25: Shoring machine on the north side of Queen Street site. That makes a total of three shoring machines now on site for the Ontario Line Queen and Bathurst station, in addition to the two shoring machines and King and Bathurst - a total of five Ontario Line shoring machines in our local area.
