I didn't notice this before but they are painting the undersides of the balconies. You can see this in some of Drum118's pictures from July. I don't think this was done for any of the other buildings here.

As for painting the balconies, never notice it. You can see it in the 2nd shot

Looks like 3 more floors to go and she top off. That would make it Mid September.

I have to say, all the bldgs going up around Islington Station are terrible! The Mabel bldgs are starting to look nicer!
Here's hoping for better design (architecturally AND urban) for future builds! Islington Village deserves better.
Maybe once (IF) the new Islington Station is built something could be built at the current bus depot to hide all the terrible Tridel towers here.

I am gonna say that Parc Nuvo looks way better than Essex's or Nuvo's. I believe this is the last phase of Tridel's developments in this area. I really hope Tridel is not going to step in to propose further on Westwood Theatre lands!! I wish we get Edilcan developments on Westwood Theatre lands, they make much better buildings with a meaning! Those Concert Developments (rental apartment buildings), looks really modern and definitely are standing out on Bloor. They did an awesome job doing those buildings.

For some darn reason, these condos really appeal to non-architecture/urban enthusiasts. I was at Kipling Station and a bunch of average Joe's/Jane's were complimenting "how nice these look". Nuvo is alright, but the earlier phases are absolutely hideous.
