I wish the small glass addition on the west side was set back further from the street. It's a trivial structure of little architectural merit. Yet it competes with the heritage facade for attention at street level because it lines up with the facade. In short, it's a distraction.
 

Yeah that does look weird, mostly because the neighbouring building is set back. The architects treated both interface corners (along Bloor and along Avenue) the same, when they should have been tailored to the specific sites.
Maybe more of the neighbouring building will be built out to the sidewalk?

Maybe if it were a couple of storeys taller, it would look more like an interesting building in its own right instead of a strange stub.
