It seems to me that they're filling in the northern tip so that they can realign Queen's Quay. Maybe also widening it? No idea.

You're right about QQE being continued east.

In regards to widening it? Nah, too expensive

They may but only after the QQE LRT is finished. Lots on that on the QQE LRT thread. There will be a park on east side of that Slip.
