They're now back at all of Front, Wellington and King (well, closer to Adelaide) along Bay St, with not an above-ground logo to show for it.

Interestingly they have moved above ground further West. Assuming the Simcoe Place one didn't re-open (it was closed last I was there a couple months ago but I haven't been past recently), it's been effectively replaced by one at street level on Wellington near Simcoe (in the RBC tower), and the Metrocentre location has been effectively replaced by one at the corner of King and John. Presumably due to the PATH still being quieter in the entertainment district than the financial district I guess.

Cleo in TD Tower has a closing sale. Johnston & Murphy in the same building closed this weekend (they must have been there at least 15 years).

Too bad, I like Ecco shoes and have bought pairs at that store. FCP is losing a *lot* of their mid-tier retail there (Ecco, Indigo, former Massimo Dutti and Tip Top, etc.). It looks like the retail is either very high end - Birks, the menswear stores on street level - or general service-oriented spots like Rexall, LCBO and the medical/dental clinics. I wonder what their leasing strategy is for those spaces, it's become a noticeable dead spot in the area.

All Cleo stores are closing and Johnston & Murphy closed all its stores in Canada.

It's funny, because it felt like the Path this week was busier than any time since the pandemic. Just jammed with people Tuesday-Thursday. But light on Monday, and it'll be a ghost town tomorrow. I don't know what has happened with rents, but the Path economy is very different than it was pre-pandemic, even if it's super busy at times.

With the apparent inevitable closure of The Hudson's Bay one can wonder what will become of the PATH connection. Since Cadillac Fairview owns the property they could keep the lower level open to the general public. Perhaps the 3 out of 4 broken escalators will finally be fixed. Perhaps it will be open at 6am like the rest of the PATH. Perhaps the Starbucks inside the store outside the Queen TTC station will stay open.

I can see them connecting to the Bay and Adelaide centre.
It's a straight shot from Queen Station.

When Pusateri's closed they already put up the walls to close off that area so it is already half built. Cutting off the Sheraton access would be a shame since getting to Eatons Centre at street level from there is a mess due to the Ontario Line construction

It's alot more work to connect Queen Station to the Sheraton Centre.
It's the preferred connection but not the easiest one.
