That brick has the colour of ground beef you get from the grocery store.
What's making you think more of this is because the mortar and the brick are practically the same colour. There's no contrast between the two, like black or white between the brick. Or it could be the lighting from the sky.

HOW do you screw this up???

Drawings, unfortunately. There's no detail of that particular elevation in the set, but there are others:

This also isn't the kind of thing that is a 'mistake' - it's been fully drawn, costed, shop drawn, produced like you see above. Just cheap, lazy, drivel.

TY for the quick reply; the architecture is enragingly bad.

This isn't even the only problematic aspect depicted in your picture. You can also see that the precast brick panels are inconsistently applied. At some junctures, the vertical continues through, while at others, it is the horizontal panel.

Let's hope they use real dark glazed windows to cover up those concrete post that don't line up with the red precast columns. As seen in the photos just above .

My guess it will be aluminum backed grey spandrel from what I am seeing from the diagrams...

...not only is this choice of window wall cheap and terrible, it has a convenient way of covering up inconsiderate design oversights of this nature. /sigh

A number of pictures taken on Saturday.

First, starting to pop out from Richmond and Spadina:

Then, some closer up photos. Note the vertical beige precast piece in the centre that has been placed just about 20 centimetres out of line with the column behind it...

I was really hoping for something more golden here. Plenty of beige precast panels in KW and they almost always looks just like plain concrete from afar. Hopefully that isnt the case here.
