Odd they wouldn't excavate the entire site all at once. Seems a waste to shore in the middle of the lot and then do the perimeter later.

on a project this scale a small wall of shoring is pennies, especially when it eliminates the risk and carrying cost of building a massive, oversized garage years before it is needed.

Pic today and one yesterday. The pace is good. They start around 7:30 and pack up around 3:30. There were 6 concrete trucks on site at one point today.
