Yes indeed. !! We need a variety of other colours rather than the blue green glass facade look for this area.
I'm particularly interested in seeing how this brick will be set and constructed along the great podium and façade. I'd have to wonder if they'll use a possibly cheaper option like 561 Sherbourne (Or one of those nearby projects) with brick on concrete blocks, or actual brick construction.

If it's the Shelby project I think it's being put up in the precast brick way. This structure will probably be built in the same manner because of construction costs.

There are different kinds of brick and precast panels going up these days, and you can't always tell which kind you're looking at when they're going up.

Some of them are all precast concrete with the front moulded to look like bricks, but others include real brick embedded into precast-backed panels.

Whichever type being used, yes, it's cheaper than trying to lay brick in traditional methods 40 storeys up (or even 4 storeys up), but claims are that the panels will last maintenance-free longer and will provide better insulation than the traditional method. No wonder why they are being used in more applications.

Hope to see more of a mix of brick and glass buildings in this city. To balance the lost of some old brick structures being torn down.

Nice to see they're getting ready to dig. I think this is going to be a fantastic development.
