i believe the white was not the finished product, they have dark grey caps that were not yet installed

The 'white window frames' were not complete - they did not have the final trim and mullion caps installed. When viewed in person, it is quite obvious the the bare metal framing is not finished - the fasteners are visible, which disappear when the trim is installed.

That would be my guess. Although distribution would likely stay in Brampton.
