Not the best photos, but I noticed this morning they have spray painted markings on the sidewalks. Beginning at the entrance of the Pawn store and ending at the Subway

Does this mean they are ready to start the removal of the heritage buildings and brace the outside walls?

Possibly but as far as I can see the markings are in pink which are all over the area as the City and/or Hydro are doing underground mapping etc. I do not see any demolition permit application online so suspect it may be a while. Locates are in multi-colours (yellow=gas, blue = water etc) and they are a better indication something is up!

Yeah, I'd imagine that demolition and construction is still a while away. Parallax still haven't began sales yet or provided any substantial marketing hints yet. Maybe later in the year for Autumn or Winter going into next year. But even then, they'll need to go through with sales and the application process.

I presume they're planning on not making it cherry red like that? (Although if they did, it would be most welcomed...well, at least from where I sit!)

...actually, I was thinking about that building too when seeing this ad. 😸
