Is there more hydro work expected along the finished granite side-walks on the north side of the road? I've been noticing that a lot of the round hydro access points in the side-walk don't have the granite cut to be flush with the opening like it is with the tree inserts and manhole covers. Instead they have sand packed into the gaps. It looks messy. I've been wondering if I should take some pics and send an inquiry to WT or if there's still more work to be done.

I think this is the bit that will only have temporary finishes at opening due to late Toronto Hydro work.

This is the area that had to be redone due to damage from contractor's heavy truck driving over the finished granite.

These start to get real bad due to lack of light, but just for completeness:

The one new light pole they have installed, it has been there since the fall. They were supposed to start installing others this week but I couldn't see any evidence of that.

We can already see how transformative this project will be. More exceptional work from Waterfront Toronto.

Now that John Campbell is retiring, I hope his friends are going to get him named Companion of the Order of Canada. Actually, does he want to run for King or something? I'd vote for that.

Waterfront Toronto is doing a good job improving the city. They understand that good design is good for improving this city and it pays off and makes the city more attractive. Kudos to them and hope others in the city can follow their example.

In person, it's easier to assess that what's left is pretty straightforward and just a matter of laying out the remaining cobblestone, paving the Martin Goodman Trail and cleaning things up. It looks like a lot of work because it's all very messy. Remaining work will move progressively, leaving a finished promenade behind. In mere weeks, we'll start seeing fences come down and trees planted. After years of imagining, we're almost there.
