NEW YEAR'S DAY - January 1, 2016

When EY Tower finally tops off in a few months time, it will appear to be similar in height to the Bay Adelaide East tower in this picture.

It's probably for the new Molson's Ads. The fact that many ppl repeated it in comments seem to suggest that anyway...

Looks cool.

The top of FCP podium is craving some trees.

All they need is 2ft of media and some support structure.

For example: http://www.rooflitesoil.com/uploads/documentation/Technical Documents/GREEN-ROOF-DATA-SHEETS/Trees-on-Roofs-rooflite.pdf

TD did it in green grass tiles to match their branding.

BMO is slowly filling out their roof. They have added a rooftop patio for a bar and there are a couple of other patio's (private ones). the key issue is access and emergency exits if they make it a big area for the public.

The Toronto Board of Trade has a big meeting room (300 person) that is directly under the podium roof. Will prohibit adding too much weight to this part of the building (and adding supports are very expensive in this type of setup)

Originally you could go up on the roof. The stairs were on the Bay Street side. The doors were closed for years, and they they were walled over when they renovated the building.
