A few from Mar 5th & 8th:
The orangerie ides is a bit of a leap… but frankly, Toronto needs lots of leaps…The square is looking less forlorn with the cladding going up on the adjacent building. Maybe an opportunity for fun programming? Imagine a temporary ‘orangery’ installation sponsored by an Algerian citrus companies? Moving along. Some of the pix are of the square to the west which I consider a work in progress. Now let’s work on getting the owner of the building on the west side to open up the ground level for retail overlooking the space! Although having just looked at the picture again I bet the owners have redevelopment in mind. 2 July.
Thank you! Didn’t realise that it was that. I am beginning to feel overwhelmed with the amount of change! Good feeling but it is increasingly hard to keep on top of things. LolWhy are you 'betting' when we have a thread for what's proposed for that site? LOL

Ok...this proposal has me genuinely smiling ear to ear............you'll find out why, after the application: http://app.toronto.ca/AIC/index.do?folderRsn=IRnEyudm1Gy2ywcw9pKF0w%3D%3D This is the site of several existing heritage buildings, collectively known as 'The Smith Block'. I am hearing rumours that the tenant for the grocery space here is Whole Foods. Can anyone confirm?
I recently asked Streetcar what grocery store was going open in the space and they said they had not secured a tenant yet. Not very promising. It's possible but Whole Foods only adds about 1 Canadian location every 2 years. That said, since they killed their Alberta plans, those do tend to be in GVA and GTA.
