It looks like it would be a 17 minute walk from the Downsview Park TTC/GO station according Google Maps, so only slightly more than walking from Union Station to Rogers Centre. But it's a less central location than a downtown one for most people who would be getting there from east or west of the city, so a public transit trip will have an extra part to it. And 50,000 people all leaving at the same time when a concert ends might be problematic.

I would assume almost everyone who has been on that part of Sheppard Ave W notices the signs and former military vehicles on display on the lawn.
