I wasnt quite sure what to expect from delta, but so far i really like how it fits in with the skyline.

Its actually a green roof, it just looks patchy from the winter. So Toronto!
 
^^ A green roof doesn't necessarily mean it has to look like the 18th green. In Canada, grass does turn brown over the winter months.

It is there to negate the urban heat island effect, and for tax credits. aesthetics are secondary when it comes to inaccessible green roofs on tall buildings, visible to very few.
 
And growing weeds and native plants allows them to pretty much leave the green roof to its own devices--no water or fertilizer necessary.

I didn't mean to rock the green boat. The effort is there and I am sure it will improve in time. We've all seen lawns fail on the ground.
