You have your wish, it is a Farm Boy!

And with my new found powers I wish everyone on this forum comes into millions of dollars...most likely through inheritances from long lost relatives.

However this now means I will now have to keep an eye on my 'grocery-a-holic' spouse as we live at 35 Viking.... dangerously close. I wonder if there are support meetings in the neighborhood.

You will never see me buying in Farm Boy as its over price, just like Sobey. I am and have been a grocery-a-holic.

Alright i'll officially admit it. This glass is 100X better than the final product I thought would be installed here. Time to give credit where credit is due, Main and Main, nice job on proving me wrong and actually using quality material here!

They should give Lifetime Developments a serious lecture on what happens when you use quality materials. And to think, I thought Whitehaus Condominiums was going to turn out better than this one....

We, too, live at 35. Sadly I think we'll have moved by the time Farm Boy opens though.

With Covid 19 affected businesses, partial government, and some construction sites being shut down, currently in effect and announced today is this rental building construction project affected?

Personally I can't see it being shut down because it is nearing completion (11 Months to complete) and supplier and trade contracts have been signed. Also, this project will have a Farmboy grocery store included and we need more grocery stores wherever possible now.

Thanks

In terms of residential work, the province’s regulations are far less stringent. New residential starts will be halted, but residential projects “near completion” will be allowed to continue. Specifically, Ontario has left the following types of residential construction on the essential workplaces list. Projects where:

  • A footing permit has been granted for single family, semi-detached and townhomes
  • An above grade structural permit has been granted for condominiums, mixed use and other buildings
  • The project involves renovations to residential properties and construction work that was started before April 4, 2020

They are now saying Spring 2021 instead of February 2021 opening!

More time to allow the Covid 19 pandemic to calm down...

What a beautiful building as it looks now. Well thought out and designed!

It's more so the quality of the materials, than the design that makes this building stand out IMO. If they had used some cheap materials that made it look like it would literally peel off of the tower (ie: a la Whitehaus Condominiums), than this development would look like unmitigated trash.

This development is nothing more than your typical rectangular box, but it's the materials that really make this one stand out from 90% of the other rectangular boxes we see spewed all over the city. Main+Main did a phenomenal job on this one.
