Nooo that thing freaked me out as a kid ... honestly for all the aliens in movies out there I always found that one to be one of the most creepiest !
 
Looks more like a bunch of AI brain-harvesters extracting the mental contents of the humans milling around, trapped in the pit/pen.
 
Surprised that the DRP didn't have any other say in altering the podium of the residential portion of the project.
 
Thanks for the link johnse! I love that Menkes releases videos of project highlights and updates, but why must they make me feel like I am riding an elevator with this dreadful music?

Wow. Now that it's starting to climb out of the hole you can appreciate the scale. I really hope they refine the podium to give it more of a human scale or else it's going to be a blight.
