I know they're doing this thing in phases, but based on the latest pics, this is really looking to me like more or less just some combination of Underpass Park, June Callwood park, and whatever this place is called, but with a short skating trail.

They're going to need to program the shit out of this thing to make it fulfill the sizable expectations surrounding it.

The wait is over. The Bentway Skate Trail opens this Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11 AM. Come join us opening weekend as we launch our skate trail and our Winter Season – January 6 to mid-March (weather permitting).

The Bentway Skate Trail is located under the Gardiner Expressway right beside the Fort York Visitor Centre (250 Fort York Blvd.) between Strachan Ave. and Bathurst St. It is 220m and stretches from just east of the Visitor Centre to Bastion St.

Somebody needs to take a look at the bents beside the trail, with safety in mind. Based on what I have seen in posts here, a trip, a fall, a collision, could send somebody flying into the unyielding concrete with disastrous results. How about foam cushions or some such at ground level?
