If by "here" you mean the G & M centre I think that is VERY unlikely. The retail is not large, there is no public parking and the loading dock not suitable for a grocery operation. Loblaws DO own the No Frills in the western part of the block too.

Not a lot of retail? The sign on the site advertises 24,000 sf of retail is coming to this development. Is that not a lot? (24,000 sf sounds like a lot to me)

The Globe and Mail Centre will have three pockets of retail. One on King Street at 8,105 square feet, and another facing King at 3,616 square feet. The third area faces Front Street, and it's a two-storey unit with 5,000 square feet on the ground floor and 7,124 square feet on the mezzanine. That's a total of 23,845 square feet over the two floors. If there's any grocery in here, it would strictly be convenience grocery. As has already been noted, there's a No Frills at the west end of the complex. Meanwhile, a Sobeys a block away from here failed a year or two ago now.

Interesting great gulf is no longer moving offices here, good sign really, hopefully that'll get them to start another project and repeat.

This building is changing the view terminus from Yonge & The Esplanade. It's starting to become prominent behind St. Lawrence market and is changing the look of the area.

^Not to mention, the view terminus from the 5th deck @ SkyDome. Snapped this one on Wednesday:

Stacks of glass panels have arrived on each floor now, so we should start to see more glazing soon. The glass on the east side as seen in Razz's photo above looks as good as the Sun Life Financial tower.

I'm sure they'd like to get a lot of it covered before winter hits.
