As a purchaser, I am glad it is Tridel. I had some leaked info on this I shared a number of pages back. Glad to hear that some on here think Tridel is good at the interiors. We still have heard nothing about whether or not they are going to honour our contracts?

The height chop is worsened by the fact the aesthetics of the crown are a lot more awkward and the night lighting has been value engineered away.

Ive lost interest in following this as closely.

Had we kept the night lighting it wouldnt be such a massive dissapointment.

I think we are jumping the gun regarding the final floor count.

The Sixth Report of the Receiver describes the item as "an 85 storey building" — and the zoning application (submitted last August) is for 86 floors, and it was an amendment from the previous 85 floor application. This new amendment was made to reflect changes to the floor plans/units and other alterations. A 91 floor zoning submission was never filed by the previous or current developer. In actuality, the project is adding an additional level — from 85 to 86.

The application may be amended at some point further toward the end of construction. However, as of now, Tridel has a mandate to complete the project as quickly, efficiently, and value-engineeringly as possible.

When/if a new owner takes receipt of the building from the Receiver/Trustee, the owner may choose to amend the current application to 91 floors. But as of now, the goal and intention is to complete the building while attempting to find a buyer before the estimated late-2027 completion date.

It really makes sense. Additional levels would only serve to raise the current $1.2 billion minimum bid sought by the creditors.

I agree any purchaser would not settle on 85 and I think would pursue higher than 91 storeys. The problem is this project is a disaster. Those that could afford it typically don't have the brass balls like Mizrahi and the market recovery in 2025 is speculation.

They actually did apply for additional height, 94 storeys to be exact. They ended up settling at 91 storeys, which was approved.

Photos taken today, Friday (Dec. 13). A smaller update this week as little has happened in terms of physical progress on the exterior, in sharp contrast to all the court developments! The blue scaffolds on the top and on the corners remain where they were last week, as do the black Rail Climbing Systems (RCSs) installing the skin, with the exception of the smaller one on the south face, which is up to level 48 from 47 last week, now a floor below the three other RCSs. A bit more glass and cladding is now visible on level 50 on the south side.

Starting with view from Yonge and Dundonald to the south, the view from Charles east of Yonge, and a tighter view of the south face and the RCSs and skin there. A wide shot from across the street on Yonge, then the view from Cumberland east of Bay, from Bloor east of Yonge with some interesting light, ditto for from the NE corner of Yonge and Bloor, and a final shot, from Queen's Pk Cres W, north of Hoskin.
