Taken from Queens Quay at Yonge St. I have to say it's pretty awesome that the two tallest skyscrapers in Toronto will be on the same street at opposite ends of downtown!

PS: If you look very closely on the left photo you can see 1 Bloor East just poking out, just slightly shorter than The One's elevator core.
And the third tallest (Concord Sky) also on Yonge between the two.

From just now; they are moving the corner forms up a few levels:

And across the street too.
One Yonge is on the east of Yonge, and One Bloor is on the west of Yonge.

Uhh…

One Bloor is actually also on the east of Yonge:

One Bloor is also known as One Bloor East.

One Bloor West, also known as The One, is a different building, which is the subject of this thread.

I was referring to One Bloor West.

The One is also known as One Bloor West.

One Bloor East, also known as One Bloor, is a different building, which is not the subject that I was talking about.

I just didn’t add the “west” at the end of One Bloor, and the reason I chose “One Bloor” is because it’s similar to “One Yonge”.

Today from the Leaside bridge. Definitely a smidge taller than 1BE!

Yes, I think it is safe to say that The One has eclipsed 1BE from this perspective even if just by a smidgen. In another week it will be undeniable and then it will be onward and upward! I still don't know what the final floor count will be. I recall that it was approved for a height extension but then I also recall a report on here that the developer will not be building The One to the maximum approved height. I hope they have reconsidered and will go for the maximum approved height.

If the receivership wants to take that risk, sure...but I highly suspect not. Thus, the building's final height is likely contingent on a buyer I am afraid...

...and they better hurry up and find one soon though, as that window is closing as they get closer to that 85 story mark!

Yes! I had forgotten about it when I posted! And at Gerrard of all streets!
Why do you say "Gerrard of all streets"? Aura has been the second tallest residential building in Canada for a decade now. And currently is the fourth tallest building in Canada. Right at Gerrard.

Maybe he thinks of Gerrard the way America thinks of Buffalo... 😼
