In caltrane's shot of Uptown..it's cool how the cladding LOOKS beigeish/golden like in the renders :).. and notice they've installed some cladding on the mechanical box of crystal! (finally)...

WOW! Uptown looks freakin tall/skinny/epic in that shot! :D I didn't know it looked that sleek from a distance! now THATS a skyscraper! ^^^

Feelin' the reminiscence of the 50's NYC... sans the Canadian flag.
Uptown is one of few non glass-overladen condos that I admire.

From Hayden Street

Uptown, Blu and Manulife from Haden Street east of Church St. and east of Yonge, respectively, on my way to the Varsity Cinemas today

I wish it had a bit more detail on the precast... like West Harbour City. Still does its job well enough, if its job is to densify the Yonge and Bloor area.

Naw, it avoids the overly faux look by avoiding the doodads. I'm surprised how much I'm liking this one... the massing and setbacks are great.

No doodads but the verticals should've been slightly raised and the horizontals slightly recessed. The surface treatment is too flat.

Terrific shots casaguy, good to see you back 'round these parts!
It look like Uptown has 1 or 2 levels left + mechanical before topping out.
