I cant tell if this is sarcasm or not.Good God this is ugly. RioCan has built another Yonge Eglinton Center at Front and Spadina. Gross.

Even if it is...I'm confused. This is a similar project in some ways to said centre, but this is being built in a fully urban area...there's much more planning and a larger site to work with as well. And of course, this is over 40 years after said centre was built. Maybe the commentor dislikes modernist design? Or what Riocan did to the mall/corner by the intersection....either way, the Well is a well thought out development for this time as of now, just as the Y&E centre was planned as a centre for the community in the late 60's and earlier 70's. (And yes, I prefer the Y&E centre architecturally as originally built)I cant tell if this is sarcasm or not.
I'm worried about oil-canning here since we've seen The Cheapening applied to cladding in many other places at The Well. It'll be interesting to capture this in different light conditions at different times of day.
The north and south sides might end up being pretty good, but with the way the east side is turning out, looks like it's getting Tridel-ed.I thought originally I might've been overhyping the glazing potential but it looks like this one is on track!
Update with full floor installed, now.Start of cladding at north west corner of residential tower, taken from a distance across Spadina

it's the second floor, not ground floor. It's probably the least prime part of the mall. That's a pretty prominent location in the mall for a dentist.
Hopefully they'll be able to get some decent retail anchors.
The units along the mall run seem pretty small.
