Big missed opportunity here to talk about the challenges of coordinating construction with existing utilities, as one of the photos shows the work going on to fix the fibre optic cables that they seemingly sunk a soldier pile (I just learned this term last week) straight through.

 
Maybe this is a silly question, but is this concrete platform they've built along the Front St side of this site part of the permanent foundation for the tower, or is it just some sort of temporary platform for construction equipment staging?
Wouldn't know for sure, but they don't look new.
 
That's been there for quite a few weeks now. I think it's just for staging, as it's pretty thin.
 
The dump truck drivers for the Whitfield are wreaking havoc on the neighbourhood. Multiple streetlights are partially down, one of them is now leaning on the YPT building.

That better not come out of the city's coffers. Developer shouldn't be tagged with it either, although you could argue they are responsible for their contractors. Is the trucking company responsible for fixing and replacing all of these? Who pays for it?
