subway usually takes cheaper condo retail spaces, not the pricey ones like this. Banks and starbucks will take the pricier spots.

When was the last time a subway actually opened in a new condo, anyway? I can't think of any.

They do indeed seem to have slowed their expansion.

Just went through almost all the new condo designs around King Street West, Theatre Park is definitely one of the very best. The building setback and the small park space in front of it is UNBEATABLE. City really should advocate this kind of concept. Sad to see some other new buildings went up and added no value to the street level experience.
 
I totally agree. They have to mandate that every building that goes up have a small park or some sort of something that will enhance the look at street level. We only have one chance. Then it's gone forever. I don't think it's a big deal to ask from the developers. It's the least they could do.
