I see this tower too often, and though this has been value engineered the shit outta, the tower isn't that bad. What makes this an absolute piece of S*** development is the horrid podium. I know it replaced the ugly Starbucks building, but the podium looks like it's made from the containers at STACKT Market by Bathurst and Front.

I dont know y people hate this one. I know it doesnt look like the render, not the fanciest but still doesnt deserve so much hate. It's a nice building. It's Way better than all the crap on waterfront.

Because the cheapened spamdrel just mimics what it could have been, IMO.
 
It still shocks me that they couldn't be bothered to set in the dark glass portions of the facade by even 300mm or something. It shows you just truly how blind some developers are to any notion of design integrity. They have $$$ in their eyes and see nothing else.
