I'm more interested if you even left any of the tallest proposals of the last few years off your vision and why you did.

Not really i went with statistics of what has been proposed and rejected in the last five years in Toronto...away from 1 Bloor and the Sapphire tower most of the proposed high-rise developments have gone ahead, the way i see it we will most likely see only 3/4 of this fantasy top 20 get build ...but then again there might be some new surprises on the way.

Added 300 Front St. West
Changed 33 Bay to 52 floors
Changed Festival Tower to "Topped Out"
Renamed "Ice I" and "Ice II" to "Ice West" and "Ice East"

Would not Couture, at 42 stories qulaify (athough barely) for this list? Couture is currently Sinking.

Couture is 'only' 126m. This is a difficult list to get onto, and getting more difficult as more and more 150m+ buildings get under way. X2 will easily make the list at 161m (if it gets the variance), but it is currently in the 'site demolition' phase, which does not qualify it for entry on this list.

Thanks for doing this list. I have many drunken discussions with my brother about construction in Toronto and I've bookmarked this thread as a way to settle the arguments! :)

I am now convinced that Cinema Condos (formerly Barcelona) is in fact under way.

It will be easier to get on soon, as in the next couple of months I assume the two MLS towers will fall off.

Yes, I expect that most of the projects marked "Topped Out" will be off the list by the end of the year. That's 4 or 5 buildings (I'm not sure that Festival Tower will be completed by then). On the other hand, at least as many new projects will have joined the list (First Bloor, U Condominiums 1 and 2, X2, Hullmark Centre and quite possibly more), all of them over 150m. That would put the 20th place tower at a minimum height of 151m, even taller than it is now (138m), assuming that Festival Tower is still being finished up at the end of this year.

Removed MLS North, MLS South, X. They are all close enough to being completed.

Added X2, Couture - Bloor Walk 2, Grand Residences (X2 might be a bit early for this list, but excavation is surely about to commence).

Have you accounted for the 2-storey increases on the two Ice Towers?
