So I spoke to the owner of Simit & Chai and the official owning is on Tuesday. Coffee shop until 5 and then drinks! Lots of sidewalk seating along Duncan. Apparently the hotel portion isn’t nailed down yet but Westbank’s gym in Vancouver is opening here.

So Simit & Chai didn’t open today but sign is up. Taken 21 May.

I agree the elevator overrun is unattractive in its current state. The tower is 185 metres tall. Can all of you fly? It doesn't bother me.
