can someone please advise the final plan / configuration for transfers between Dundas West TTC and Bloor GO?

Is it just walking on the sidewalk? Thanks.

They are building a tunnel section north of Bloor St that will connect to the vacant lot on Dundas. They have built the section that will connect with the Railpath.

No date as to when you can use the new tunnel to go from Dundas W station to the Railpath, but sometime in the next few years. Bloor St will be use first when the station reopens.

Track 1 is in place for tunnel 1 at the Toronto West Diamond. Grading is ready south of Dupont for the re-lineament of the the Weston sub track.

VIA trains were most likely on detour as they were doing track work for the Weston Sub as well re-lineament. Not sure why track work was being done since it only going to go out of service by the end of the month unless it has to do with the diamond themselves that will be removed late June or early July. That will be when the new bridge for the 2nd tunnel is moved into position.

Bridge work taking place for the Dupont Bridges as they were strip down to the base.

Steel work for the new entrance and Station in place. Footing for the platforms shelters are also in place.

Huge concrete pour taking place for the new tunnel area by the vacant lot and hard to get a shot of the area.

Starting this week until 2015, all the bridges will be rebuilt with only 1 sidewalk on Bloor St open.

I expect the Milton Line Bridge will be done first to get the line relocated back to where it supposed to be in the first place. A new track 4 will replace the current Weston sub on the west side of the new platform so the existing temporary one can be built as a new one along having tracks 2 & 3 bridges rebuilt along with the new track.

What is odd that the new signal mast bridge is built for 5 tracks when 6 tracks are going in near the Wallace overpass. Most likely because there not enough room to put the footing in without going out into the Railpath area. Most likely a standard mast will be used for the future track 1 down the road.

Even if the track is only going to be used until the end of the month, it still needs to be maintained to a certain standard. I guess they felt that it was slipping below the standard and needed work.

I suspect we're mere minutes away from a passionate debate over the meaning of "next weekend"

In any event, the official twitter feed has now chimed in.

I was notify earlier of the move for this weekend and will be on site tomorrow taking photos of the site as well catching a couple of last trains going north.

Will be on the Bloor Station site next week getting some close up shots that cannot be obtain outside the area.

After this weekend, a 131 year of the crossings will be history. Hard to say at this time if CP will remove the diamonds this weekend or wait until June when the new bridge get move into position.

Not only CP will be happy with the removal of the diamond, so will the residents living around it as they will not hear the click clack, thum de thum as CP trains pass through the diamond. It will be an eerie quietness that the resident will have to deal with come June/July.

Not only will the track being move for the fly under, it will be removed the full length from Wallace Overpass to north of St Clair so excavation can get underway for the 2nd tunnel. The west retaining wall is almost in place and that leaves doing the floor, walls and the bracing.

Don't you think that's a stretch? Freight trains are a wall of sound, clicks from passing over the diamond are surely minor.

There will be less noise from passenger trains at least, now that they will swoop in and out of the underpass.
 
Is CP likely to be able to move trains through at higher speeds as well, given the elimination of the junction and presumably some associated signals?
