There should really be no escalators, and if there are any, just 1. besides, how long will they last when there are 300,000 people walking over them every day?

Agreed. There are a number of TTC stations where the escalators seem to be out of order and roped off as much as they're actually working.

yep, they put an escalator up to platform 24/25 from the VIA concourse, it has been out of order for the last 2 months I have been using it, but much longer looking at how much debris and junk is covering it.

Thanks for the links, AoD... I watched the first one this evening (much to the chagrin of my wife) and although most of it was known to us already, it still had some new stuff that was quite interesting.

This forum shall not be held accountable for neglected relationships, etc. :) I haven't had time to really listen to the whole thing, just skimmed through bits and pieces of it. Find the dig down and Union Subway Station sections most interesting with the most info.

:D

I agree with you, the dig down was really the only section that had new info WRT to construction techniques. The TTC portion in particular, was a complete rehash and not worth watching in my opinion.

Was there an outbreak of plague at this conference? Seriously, if you have a cough and your going to a talk, take some lozenges. I kept being reminded of Frank Costanza's Vietnam flashback.

Is there a timetable for the phased opening of new sections? This October? Really?
