Ok so Uptowns should be next….we are all still sitting in limbo 7 years in
Nope! The courts ruled that Uptowns must be finished, whereas Backyards was sold because construction hasn't commenced. The purchasers of Backyards decided to terminate all the Purchasing Agreements for that Project.... So we have to still wait a few more years...

Must be finished ?

But if they up prices , they can practically weasel their way out .

So does this mean the court has to approve an increase?

They have to legally finish Uptown. If KSV requires more money from us, we have the right to request our deposit back. Then they would sell our unit to someone else for a new price. But either way, they still have to finish Uptown.

Oh okay got it .

So request for more money , will be unit by unit ? So someone may keep to the original contact , and someone else may be asked to pay more?

This is incorrect...

You are mixing it up.Backyards is different from Lakeview. Please read the legal brief.

Backyard kingsmill is 80% complete. Construction has gone far. But for some reason KSV decided it's best to sell it and the new buyer of the project opt to terminate the Purchasing Agreements and refund deposits.

Lakeview view is yet to commence any Construction and KSV decided to keep it. They'll start and finish the project.

For Uptowns...KSV decided to complete it as it is the best way to maximize shareholders return.

The court cannot rule for any project to be completed or sold except KSV recommends it.
