Why would be, is the building even involved in the development ?
 
Just addressing concerns about what the present scaffolding along Dundas Square's all about.

You can't make it out unfortunately, but that white sign on the hoarding in the picture above, facing Dundas Square, confirms that is indeed restoration work occurring there.

Ironic that a company like D+S that prides itself on building "background" buildings that respect its surroundings would build such gaudy tat.
 
Are there renders of what this thing will look like from the street it will actually sit on? (not from dundas)
 
Could they not build something more attractive? Seems like this city is determined to ruin the square as much as possible.
