One has to think they approached the City about that ..... or am I giving them too much credit? That said, this is MUCH better than the majority of public art installations we see.

I think this might be the only location it's acceptable to build a single storey building in downtown Toronto
In all seriousness, the heritage Loblaws looks really good - and as always in Toronto, it's a shame about the quality of the condo towers.

Today. Courtyard and stairs. Looks like a fountain / water feature is in the works.
As yet unleased retail pavilion, attached to the condo’s podium. I think there are 3 units here. There’s another smaller unit across from the LCBO.

It needs more than paint! That section of Gardiner is up for renovation in, I think, 2023 but it is odd they did not do it when there was no new buikding there!
