From a few hours ago. I'm not sure which of the remaining retail frontages (four or five of them it looks like) will be the Scotiabank.

On the west side of the site is the Mimico Creek. Behind the trees lining the creek will eventually be a new bike path connecting the Lake Shore to the Queensway…

But for now, the space it will be in is being used for construction access to Westlake Encore.

The means another couple of years until the people who have the townhome units facing the creek have a clear view of it, and a nice landscaped area.

Construction all over this city means that one way or another, you have to be patient.

Beautiful photos Jimmy. There are certainly angles from which this thing looks somewhat palatable but the way it completely turns its back on Park Lawn at grade is completely unacceptable.
Thanks ProjectEnd. Completely agree; the dead Park Lawn frontage is just disappointing and adds nothing of value.

From this afternoon. Check out the print in the windows of the TD Bank. Does this make up for no life in the windows? A little…

Love the pics, not the development. Westlake is an embarrassment and a missed opportunity.

So, Scotiabank took the spot closest to the Lake Shore/Park Lawn corner:

I like the use of brick, which evokes a heritage warehouse. The glazed awnings seem uninspired though.

The space beside the ScotiaBank will be a dental office, and it has also been confirmed that an LCBO pop-up will also be opening in one of the other empty units at Westlake.

Was hoping for some restaurants/cafes.

I believe the LCBO is going into the unit facing Park Lawn (with double height ceilings).

There are three largeish spaces available facing the inner courtyard (on the west side) where one is used as the sales office. Those are earmarked for cafes, according to Onni.

The LCBO is to open tomorrow. Here's hoping some of the window coverings come down, and that they're not "permanent".

Meanwhile, the bricked space between towers was left for a restaurant patio, but it seems there's a gym going in on the south side of it. Until such time as the LCBO splits for a larger store nearby, or the gym folds, the patio space won't get used. Too bad: the treed area along the Mimico Creek just beyond this is being improved, and it could be a nice place to eat.
