Not sure just when the Sunset Grill opened. The Panago is still coming. I quite like the Metro, which seems to have a better selection in some ranges, the purveying of beer included, than the twice-the-size-Sobey's on The Queensway which is twice-as-close to me. Anyway, the bigger deal for Westlake right now is that the frontage along the Mimico Creek is coming together. I wonder how far, next year, one might be able to travel along the east bank on a bike? Last week at Council when the councillors had just approved the permanent Bloor bike lanes, I pressed Mark Grimes re: when the bike trail would be built north of the Park Lawn condos and under the rail bridge and the Gardiner. It needs to get at least to The Queensway. All of that won't be fast (typical); apparently the bicyclepath cannot touch the rail bridge, so it has to be built on its own bridge under the rail bridge. Federal regulations.

Another update: the bike path up the Mimico, as short as it is so far, is now open, and the valley is looking very nice.

I'll go further up the valley in the Westlake Encore thread.

In the meantime, in the centre of the complex, all the retail spaces—TD Bank, Scotiabank, Shoppers, Metro, Sunset Grill (how do those stay in business without being open n the evenings?), Orange Theory, LCBO, Platis, Panago, and a dental office—are now in use, and the area is regularly busy.

More retail is coming n Westlake Encore, seen at the back of the image above. More coming in that thread.
