This seems to have risen quickly. Pretty soon Benito's view will be fully obstructed.
The irony being that when it's all done, we'll have a sidewalk that's between 4 and 10 feet wider than it was before. No pain no gain? What do they do differently in New York that keeps the street open? Sidewalks that are already wider?On another note, did they manage to re-open Yonge? This project managed to - in chronological order - eat into the sidewalk, then kicked the sidewalk on to the street, then closed up half the moved sidewalk on the street - and then the coup de grace is causing Yonge to turn into a one lane (!) roadway at rush hour this morning with a cop directing the traffic.
