If you are talking about the former Mount Sinai Hospital building at 100 Yorkville with the yellow brick, no - that is not coming down. Chanel is moving in there.

I was wondering if that was the building biospherian was talking about, and I'm relieved to know it's not going anywhere. It's my favorite building in Yorkville.

No, I believe he was referring to the building (image below) that I believe carries the addresses of 106 and 108 Yorkville. It is not heritage-designated and will be demolished as a part of this development (along with the building immediately to its east, despite its relatively recent renovation and extension).

The former Mount Sinai building is a structural part of the 100 Yorkville condo building and is, as you've correctly pointed out, where Chanel is moving into - that build-out is in-progress.

Whats not to believe? its a very dense high traffic urban area so knocking it down relatively quick is of no surprise.

The developer is having some neighbourhood difficulties that are preventing it from finishing the demolition of the building, and it's left a temporarily amusing result. Yesterday:
