I've lived in TO for several years now and I still haven't found chicken wings as good as my beloved 'Two Thumbs Up' wings in Sudbury. I like 'em battered and saucy as hell... any recommendations... preferably downtown?

Not really downtown, and not battered but for me the best wings in town are Duff's on Bayview (a few blocks south of Eglinton).

St Louis on Yonge, just south of Eglinton and of course the aforementioned Duffs.

Not a really good reply here but I find that the "Blazing Inferno" wings at the Casey's chain of restaurants are pretty damn good.. just cuz they're so bloody hot.

I too wouldn't mind finding a place that has fantastic wings.

Wheat Sheaf Tavern @ King and Bathurst (oldest pub in TO) has some great wings.

I agree with what's been said here. Although a few of the Firkins make decent wings.

I have the answer you are looking for ganjavih...

Gretzky's restaurant. They are plump, battered, and extra saucy. The best wings I have ever eaten...hands down.

Go to www.torontowings.com for some reviews on the city's top wings.

A quote from their website...

Wayne's has the largest wings we have ever seen. They are plump, succulent, and always perfectly cooked. They use a breading and roll the wings in sauce after the fryer. The hot sauce is simply outstanding. They give suicide an extra kick by tossing in some chili pepper flakes (aka 'burners'). While the suicide is not overbearing, we recommend against drinking a cup of straight sauce. One of our members performed this test and found himself in the no urinal zone for several hours that evening. We do not consider anything less than hot, however be advised that medium and below are a little on the sweet side. Overall, my hats off to Wayne on a fine wing!

Damn, I'm craving them now. >:

Thanks for all the suggestions guys... keep 'em coming.

Being former Beach dwellers, we found that Scratch Daniel's (on Queen East) had the best we'd tasted in the city. They even provided extra hot sauce on the tables in ketchup containers. The runners up were Carlos Murphy's (Kingston Rd, west of Vic Park) and the Ferret and the Firkin (Spadina near U of T).

The Pump and Patio has far and away the best wings I've ever had. Going there though, requires a trip to the dreaded Mississauga, which many of you fear.

I've heard Duffs are the best and they seemed that way...really big.

Don't forget to try the Armagedon Wings, supposedly the hottest in Toronto.

Its funny but I prefer the "dry" wings of St. Louis and Bistro on Avenue Road to the "wet" wings mentioned above. I have to admit though, that Duff's has some pretty good wings if you like the saucey wet wing.

And yes, Hooters has horrible wings.

"Give it up Chris "

Give what up William? Give up trying to stop people from fearing Mississauga? Why? Is that a feeble effort amongst this crowd?
